How to Install December 2018 Android 8.0 Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+

Step By Step Guide:
Step 1: Firstly, you need to download December 2018 Android 8.0 update from the below links for your Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ to your computer and then extract the zip file.
Step 2: Now download Odin which is needed to install the December 2018 update on Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+.
Step 3: Turn off your phone and go to download mode by press and holding and volume down key and Bixby buttons altogether, now you need to press the power button until you see the Android Robot Construction and a triangle. Again press power to go to download mode after confirming.
Step 4: Do make sure that you have Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ USB drivers already installed on your computer.
Step 5: In download mode, connect your phone to the computer after opening ODIN.
Step 6: After successful phone connection, you will see that one of ID:COM will turn yellow in addition to COM port number. This step requires some time to complete.

- First, click on ‘AP’ and pick the file with ‘AP’ in its name.
- Click ‘CP’ and pick the file with name ‘MODEM’. Exclude this step if you don’t see such file name.
- Click ‘CSC’ and pick the file with name ‘CSC’. Exclude this step if you don’t see such file name.
- Click ‘PIT’ and pick .pit file. Exclude this step if you don’t see such file name.
- Click ‘BL’ and pick the file of name ‘BL’. Exclude this step if you don’t see such file name.
Don’t forget to look for abbreviations if you are using an old version of ODIN. Keep in mind that only file name changes, process running in the back and all the functionality remains the same so no need to worry about this.

- CP = Modem
Step 8: F. Reset time options and check for the Auto Reboot in ODIN. If we take Re-Partition option. Check it if you have selected the .PIT file in the previous step.
Step 9: In ODIN, click on start button. This will take some minutes to start the process of installation.
Step 10: After successful installation, you device will restart and when you see the home page unplug your phone from computer.
